The Baby Development Clinic is designed to address those “gut feelings” or desires to get a second opinion allowing parents to be proactive and have peace of mind about their baby’s development. Subtle motor delays and skipped milestones have become more common and are frequently being brushed under the rug, considered “normal” because they have become common, or parents are told, “let’s wait and see.” The truth is, many of these subtle red flags are preventable and babies can easily get back on course when parents have the right information. The Baby Development Clinic provides specialized development coaching in lieu of waiting for a referral to a licensed therapist.
"I can’t thank Erin enough for all of the detailed information that she gave me about my daughter’s development! I was using bouncers and saucers with my 7 month old, thinking it has helping her to walk. Erin helped me redirect her to more complex crawling methods, which will help her brain development! The information that Erin provided is invaluable in the long run for our family!" ~ Michele C.
"While attending the Brats Club development classes I noticed my son moves differently than the other kids in the class. He was more stiff in his movements and also rarely rolled. When I first met Erin and realized she was an OT, I started asking a lot of questions regarding the concerns I had. It was nice to have access to a professional opinion and guidance on how I should proceed with getting my son help without paying a large sum out of pocket and getting help immediately instead of waiting for an appointment to see a specialist. She first started with showing me some exercises to do with him to help him start rolling more. It works within just a few days!" ~ Jenn L.
Erin Carlson Taylor, MS, OTR/L, D.PSc is an infant development coach and licensed pediatric occupational therapist with 25+ years of specialty practice in infant development, neonatal intensive care, infant feeding and sensory processing. She has worked in a variety of settings including acute care hospitals, pediatric out-patient clinics, school settings and community parent-baby education classes.
